1909 Sigtuna Stadshotell’s Christmas Smorgasbord is a well-designed classic that breathes tradition, culinary craftsmanship and a sense of luxury. All served with a magnificent view of Lake Mälaren’s inlet next to the Christmas tree and the many Christmas lights.

1909 Sigtuna Stadshotell, Sweden’s smallest five-star hotel, is located in the middle of Sigtuna town. Here, business travelers, tourists and Sigtuna residents meet at the door on their way out to the main street Stora gatan for shopping and promenade and to visit Sigtuna Christmas market.

– Our Christmas buffet includes all the traditional Christmas Smorgasbord classics but with an extra golden edge. The food here is true craftsmanship, prepared in our own kitchen and bakery. The smallness is the greatness. A Christmas buffet with us is convivial, freshly prepared and with that little extra, says Head Chef Gustav Brixelius.

– But that little extra is also in the small details, in everything from reception and service to the newly mangled linen napkins. The hotel’s small size creates a family atmosphere, it feels intimate and personal, a bit like home but with extra everything. Many of our Christmas dinner guests return year after year, which is of course our best rating!
